About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Editorial Designer to take ownership of the design and production of flagship publications, including a globally distributed industry magazine, official event guides, and long-form editorial content. This is a Malta-based role within a leading iGaming and emerging technology events and media group that operates across multiple continents, hosting some of the largest summits in the online gaming, blockchain, and fintech sectors.
The Senior Editorial Designer will be the driving force behind the visual identity of all print publications. This is not a purely digital design role. The position is heavily focused on print design and production, demanding strong technical knowledge of pre-press processes, print specifications, and direct coordination with printers and external production vendors. A proven track record of delivering high-quality, print-ready publications from concept through to final delivery is essential.
Success in this Senior Editorial Designer position means consistently producing polished, on-brand publications that meet tight event-driven deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of editorial design. Key Responsibilities
As Senior Editorial Designer, you will lead the end-to-end design and layout of the company’s flagship magazine, event guides, and all editorial print publications. This covers the full project lifecycle, from initial concept development and pagination planning through to final print delivery. You will be expected to manage multiple publications simultaneously, maintaining consistent quality across every piece.
A core part of the role involves preparing and delivering print-ready files, ensuring complete accuracy across specifications, colour management, and pre-press requirements. You will coordinate directly with printers and production vendors, managing timelines, reviewing proofs, and signing off on final printed materials. Leveraging an existing network of printer and supplier contacts to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness is a key expectation of this Senior Editorial Designer role.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including editorial, marketing, and events to ensure that every publication tells a strong visual story aligned with the brand’s editorial standards.
