Location: Malta

Salary: Circa €55,000 to €60,000 plus benefits

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing international iGaming group, is hiring a Treasury Manager based in Malta to take ownership of group-wide treasury operations during a period of rapid expansion into Africa-licensed markets. This is a high-impact Treasury Manager role for a finance professional who enjoys building scalable treasury infrastructure inside a complex, multi-jurisdiction online gambling business.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Treasury Manager will lead daily cash positioning, banking strategy, PSP relationships, crypto treasury, and liquidity risk management across multiple entities, currencies, and licensed iGaming markets. The business is scaling at pace, entering new territories, and the volume and diversity of cash flows is increasing month on month. This is the person who keeps capital moving cleanly across borders so that growth is never blocked by treasury friction.

This Treasury Manager position in Malta sits at the heart of a fast-moving online casino and sports betting operation. It is not a maintenance role. The successful candidate will be building processes from the ground up, navigating the very real challenges of offshore and Africa-facing banking, and ensuring uninterrupted cash flow across an international group with continuous regulatory and commercial change.

Key Responsibilities

The Treasury Manager will own daily cash positioning, short-term liquidity, and rolling cash-flow forecasts across all group entities, currencies, and licensed iGaming markets. This includes maintaining adequate liquidity buffers that account for PSP settlement cycles, rolling reserves, and the natural volatility of a high-growth online gambling business. Intercompany funding, cash concentration, and capital efficiency across the group will sit with this role, alongside continuous monitoring of restricted and trapped cash across Africa and offshore jurisdictions.

On banking strategy, the Treasury Manager will maintain a continuous search and onboarding pipeline of banks suitable for iGaming, offshore licences (including Anjouan), crypto-adjacent flows, and Africa-facing operations. This means proactively identifying alternative and replacement banking partners to mitigate de-risking and concentration risk, leading bank account openings in close collaboration with the Compliance team, negotiating improved pricing, FX rates, limits, and settlement terms, and optimising cash movement across banks, PSPs, wallets, and operating entities.

Working closely with the Payments team, the Treasury Manager will help manage PSP and acquirer relationships and monitor settlement timelines, rolling reserves, chargebacks, fraud ratios, and exposure limits. Crypto and alternative payments treasury sits within the role as well, including oversight of stablecoin flows, wallets, and fiat on/off-ramps, plus the controls that govern crypto transactions and exposure management.

Market expansion support is a meaningful part of the work. The Treasury Manager will support treasury setup for new Africa-licensed markets, advise on FX controls, repatriation risks, and settlement constraints, and partner with Finance and Compliance on regulatory and operational banking requirements.

Finally, the Treasury Manager will establish treasury controls and approval frameworks, oversee bank, PSP, and wallet reconciliations, prepare liquidity and treasury reporting for the CFO, and support audits and regulatory reviews as required.
