Reports To: Project Manager

About the Role
Our client, a well-established technology business operating across the regulated iGaming and online casino sector, is looking for a Platform Manager to join their Product team in Malta. This is a key hire. The Platform Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day relationship with the client’s external back office development partner and act as the single point of contact for all development activity delivered through that partner.
The Platform Manager exists to keep a large and fast-moving back office backlog moving forward. Sitting within the Product team and reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will make sure the external development partner delivers what the internal product, development, and operations teams need, on time and to specification. Success in this Platform Manager role looks like a backlog that is prioritised clearly, requirements that are captured accurately, deadlines that are met, and features that ship rather than stall.
This is a hands-on coordination and delivery role rather than a message-relaying one. Our client is looking for someone who will follow through consistently, hold the external partner to account for deliverables, and keep every stream moving. The Platform Manager role is based in Malta on a hybrid pattern of four days in the office and one day remote. This working pattern is a firm requirement, and candidates must be able to commit to it before interview.
Key Responsibilities
The Platform Manager will own all day-to-day interaction with the external back office development partner and serve as the point of contact for every piece of development delivered through that team. This means being the person the internal teams come to for anything relating to the back office, and the person the external partner works with to understand what is needed and by when.
Managing the back office backlog sits at the centre of this role. The Platform Manager will capture and refine requirements, set and maintain priorities, agree deadlines, and track delivery from first request through to release. With a large backlog and shifting business needs, keeping this backlog clear, current, and correctly ordered will be a constant focus.
Coordination across the business is essential. The Platform Manager will work with stakeholders across product, development, and operations internally, and with external providers and platform partners externally. A core part of the role is translating what the internal teams need into clear, well-defined priorities that the external partner can act on.
Communication and follow-through run through everything the Platform Manager does. The successful candidate will keep all parties aligned on progress, blockers, and timelines, and will follow through persistently to turn requests into shipped features. This is a role for someone who pushes work to completion rather than simply passing messages between teams.
The Platform Manager will also manage competing priorities and frequent change. As requirements and business priorities shift, the successful candidate will re-prioritise transparently and make trade-offs clear, so that the product, development, and operations teams all understand what is being delivered and when.
Regular reporting keeps everyone aligned. The Platform Manager will provide clear updates to the Project Manager and the wider Product team on delivery status, risks, and dependencies, keeping visibility high across the back office roadmap so the business can plan with confidence.
Finally, the Platform Manager will help make sure that delivered features meet the agreed requirements and follow the business’s delivery standards, and will contribute to improving how the back office backlog is planned and run over time.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Platform Manager who combines strong organisation with confident stakeholder management and a consistent, delivery-focused approach.

- Two to three years of experience in a platform, product delivery, or vendor and partner management role, ideally within iGaming or another regulated technology environment
- Proven ability to own and manage a product or development backlog, including prioritisation, requirements gathering, deadlines, and delivery tracking
- Confident stakeholder management across internal teams such as product, development, and operations, as well as external providers
- A persistent, follow-through approach, comfortable holding an external development partner to account for deliverables rather than simply relaying communication
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate business needs into well-defined development priorities
- Able and willing to work the hybrid pattern of four days in the office and one day remote in Malta. This is a firm requirement, and candidates must be able to accept it before interview.

- Experience working with an external back office platform or player account management (PAM) system
- B2C online casino experience, which is a genuine advantage for this role
- B2B iGaming platform experience, which is particularly valued for this Platform Manager role

What’s on Offer
Our client is offering a salary in the range of €45,000 to €55,000 per annum, depending on experience, for this Platform Manager role in Malta. Alongside the salary, the role comes with a hybrid working pattern of four days in the office and one day remote, giving a balance of in-person collaboration and focused remote time.
Beyond compensation, the Platform Manager will sit at the centre of how the business delivers its back office, working closely with product, development, and operations teams and with external platform partners. This gives strong exposure across delivery, product, and vendor management, and a clear route towards more senior product, delivery, or platform ownership roles for candidates who want to grow.
Malta is one of Europe’s leading hubs for iGaming and technology talent, and the team culture is collaborative and delivery-focused. The successful candidate will join a business that values people who take ownership and see work through to completion.
