The Head of Internal IT has a centralised role in our organisation, forming part of the services layer across the group. You will lead our small IT team, ensuring seamless support and shaping a robust IT infrastructure. You will ensure the highest standards are maintained, while fostering collaboration and innovation.

What will you be doing?

As the Head of Internal IT, you will be at the forefront of technology that includes the following responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide our Internal IT team to ensure tasks are meticulously tracked using our ticketing system, facilitating accountability and traceability.
  • Maintain a gold standard of support for all our employee across all offices.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own our internal IT landscape, including networks, procurement, asset management, service delivery, end user support, and access management.
  • Implement and uphold the highest security standards, ensuring our organization adheres to best practices at all times.
  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
  • Optimizing our Internal IT department’s efficiency through meticulous documentation.
  • Collaborate closely across departments and offices, playing a pivotal role in new project implementation and business requirements.
  • Continuously assess departmental gaps and provide effective solutions to bridge them.
  • Keep our Group Technical Management informed and abreast with development and progress.
  • Streamline inventory processes, enhancing resource management and optimizing costs.
  • Provide user guidance on software or hardware requests that may arise.
  • Actively participate in IT audits, including asset management, configuration and maintenance of new hardware and software.
  • Take full ownership of access management.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of a working IT governance program that aligns internal IT processes with regulatory and industry standards.

 

Who are you?

  • Strong background in IT and network management, with a knack for troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving.
  • Industry-standard qualifications would be a valuable asset.
  • Experience with managing cloud environments and infrastructure is a must!
  • Good knowledge and working experience in International Standards such as ISO.
  • Previous management experience that showcases your ability to lead, inspire and mentor.
  • You are comfortable to be both strategic and hands on.
  • Good communications skills in English and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders is pivotal for success in this role.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable with travelling, ensuring seamless IT operations across our offices.
  • Linux, MacOS, and Windows troubleshooting and configuration skills.
  • Experience with procurement and asset management, remote assistance.
