Let’s jump onto your responsibilities!
- Lead projects, including acquisitions, corporate transactions, and other deal processes
- Lead and oversee acquisitions and related deal processes.
- Take ownership of corporate and commercial legal tasks, including drafting and negotiation.
- Ensure legal compliance and risk management across projects.
- Manage due diligence, corporate governance, and post-transaction integration.
- Advise on legal aspects of strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
- Handle negotiations and draft, review, and finalize legal documents with precision and efficiency.
- Draft and handle high-level agreements and contracts, including but not limited to commercial, corporate, employment, intellectual property, distribution, and marketing
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure seamless execution of legal and corporate objectives.
- Your work will be directly supervised by Chief legal officer who will provide guidance as needed but will expect a proactive and independent approach to responsibilities.
- Liaise with the Chief Legal Officer and legal team in reviewing and creating important legal documents.
- Liaise with the Chief Legal Officer and legal team in drafting new contracts or agreements for the Company.
- Support the legal team on various corporate and commercial transactions such as acquisitions, partnerships, and collaborations.
- Support the legal team on any other matters arising to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
- Reviewing, managing and processing documentation and handling internal and external due diligence requirements.
- Support in the general internal corporate and compliance needs of the Company.
- Assisting on specific projects as may be required on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Experience in corporate and commercial legal matters.
- A current license to practice in one or more jurisdictions (UK or Cyprus is preferred).
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years’ practice experience at a well-regarded law firm, or in-house experience.
- A team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, make complex cost/benefit assessments, and identify pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility on tasks.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- A quick and flexible learner, intellectually curious, open-minded, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and excited by dynamic change.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly learn the confidence of your colleagues and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
- High standards, impeccable integrity and ethics, unquestionable good judgment, well-honed analytical skills, superior oral and written communications skills.
- Experience in different jurisdictions will be considered an advantage.
