Information Security Engineer

We are looking for Information Security Engineer to join our growing team.

Are you a talented Information Security Engineer who enjoys keeping organisations safe? We are looking for a passionate Information Security Engineer to join our growing team in Malta. The ideal candidate should be conversant in the latest security trends, risks and attack vectors as well as able to articulate and communicate complex concepts across all channels.

The selected candidate will be working in collaboration with teams across the company to offer support and guidance on project and technologies, document designs to help in their effective execution and assist as required in cyber investigations and threat mitigation.

What will you be doing?

• Research, and investigate the potential impact of new threats and exploits,
• Monitoring security events, log analysis, trends, and forensic analysis,
• Perform regular security and vulnerability analysis of internal systems,
• Investigation, root cause analysis and tracking of cyber security related events and incidents,
• Design, implementation, and management of robust security architecture aligned with industry standards and best practices,
• Conduct in depth threat modelling, risk analysis, security audits and reviews,
• Assist in developing, maintaining and implementation of Security Standards, Policies, Procedures, and Metrics,
• Advise internal teams on a wide range of security matters, offering guidance in the development and integration of secure design solutions,
• Clearly articulate and maintain Security Principles,
• Keep up to date on best security practices and events,
• Design and Perform Information Security Training.

Who are you?

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Cyber Security or Information Security roles,
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Cloud Security Architecture,
• In-depth understanding of key security and infrastructure technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Networks,
• Application Security Background or Coding background would be considered an asset,
• Experience in application penetration testing,
• Advanced knowledge of a Linux environment, virtualization and containerization,
• Fluent in security standards and best practices and International Standards such as ISO, NIST, SOC.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or IT.
• Relevant Industry Standard Qualifications such as CEH, CISA, CISSP, OSCP is a must.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
